There are a lot of people in my life who really have no idea of anything within the quilting world. They know they can get a large quilt at Cracker Barrel or Walmart for a few hundred dollars, but they don’t know how the quilt came to be, or what even makes a quilt (technically speaking). They are completely ignorant to the entire fabric, thread and sewing machine world, and all the nooks and crannies that make up my favorite place to be.
Despite this, I have yet to meet anyone who does not see the beauty that custom quilting can lend to a nicely pieced quilt. And those ignorant people in my life? Don’t worry, I’ve since schooled them. 🙂
Quilting is a beautiful form of art, and like painting, each artist performs his/her craft in a little bit different fashion. Many of us can tell who quilted a piece by the style in which it was quilted.
So this post is dedicated to sharing some of my custom quilting work, because I think my work is beautiful, and so do my customers.
You can always tell that someone makes quilts because they have little threads all over them. You can tell someone is a long arm quilter because they always want to show you the backside of the quilts!
I suppose that is enough eye candy for today. I hope you enjoyed these snippets of my work. Thanks for checking it out 🙂
